Chemical peels are exfoliating solutions that are customized for different skin types and incorporate a variety of active ingredients that work to exfoliate dead skin cells and reveal a new layer of skin. Depending on the depth of the peel, different layers of the skin will be targeted and the peel may be applied differently. Superficial skin peels are applied in layers and left on your skin. They’re not timed and removed like deeper chemical peels. The strength of a superficial peel is controlled by the number of layers applied.

Topical numbing medication will be applied prior to the procedure. If you choose to use PRF (which has more growth factors than PRP, and therefore yields better results), your blood will be drawn and spun to separate, while you are numbing. Once numb, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. During the treatment, hyaluronic acid or your own PRF will be applied to the treatment area. You may feel some warmth and a scratching/pulling sensation as the device moves over your skin, but the numbing cream should keep pain to a minimum. Biostimulators slow down the aging process by promoting the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin over a period of several months resulting in an improvement of skin quality - better skin texture, less fine lines & a reduction in pore size. Both calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHa) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) fillers are considered biostimulators. The most popular CaHa and PLLA brands are Radiesse® and Sculptra®, respectively.
